Recap of the 2010s
NBA History

The 2010s saw a crazy scoring outburst. By the end of the decade, teams averaged the most points per game since the early 70s. Much of this is due to the massive increase in three point shooting which resulted in more floor spacing for everyone else. Stephen Curry is credited for this change as he shattered every three point record in the book. This era also included some of the wildest offseasons. Loyalty to teams became rare as many championships came from teams with many stars.
Lebron James dominated this decade as he made the finals 8 times in a row. From 2011 to 2014 he went 2-2 with Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, and the rest of the Miami Heat. In 2015 he returned to Cleveland and teamed up with Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love, going 1-3 in the Finals. The other major storyline was the Golden State Warriors dynasty. They assembled a team of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green all through the draft. They ended up winning it all in 2015 and followed that up by beating the regular season win record with 73 only to lose in the Finals. The next year Kevin Durant joined them as they became arguably the most dominant team in NBA history winning the next two titles with ease. More stars from this decade include Anthony Davis, James Harden, Russell Westbrook, Chris Paul, and Damian Lillard.
